Winter Refuge — Ziemas patvērums — Kārlis Smiltens
A set of seven fine-art greeting cards featuring a winter landscape by Latvian artist Kārlis Smiltens (1921–2017). Snow-covered buildings, dark evergreens and a deep blue night sky capture the stillness and atmosphere of a Latvian winter.
Smiltens was a Latvian-born artist whose remarkable life took him from wartime Latvia to postwar England and eventually the United States, where he worked professionally as an artist and animator. Throughout his life, he continued to paint the landscapes, people and experiences that remained important to him.
Printed on bright white cardstock with a matte finish that complements the painterly quality of the original artwork. The cards are blank inside, suitable for holiday greetings, thank-you notes, correspondence, or any personal message.
Set includes:
• 7 landscape-format cards
• 7 craft-paper envelopes
• Matte finish
• Full-color exterior printing
• Blank interior
